I don't even know what I am saying please read I posted this is the wrong bit before?
Okay, I don’t really know what I am asking I just have been feeling strange lately. I have a good group of friends who I have been friends with for forever, but they all get on my nerves at different times for different reasons, I am passive aggressive which means I don’t say anything for ages and then I snap, and by snap I mean I won’t return calls or I can get a little snide sometimes, never anything too big. I started my uni course on Monday it is a good course that I have really wanted to do for a long time, I am suppose to be doing it with a friend but she has pulled out suddenly (another story) which annoyed me a little bit. Then Sunday (the night before I was suppose to start) I started to feel really anxious and I couldn’t sleep, then Monday I woke up and I couldn’t stop crying and I couldn’t breathe and I couldn’t make my hands stop making a fist, so I didn’t go. I have uni tomorrow and I am going to force myself to go no matter what. I have a steady boyfriend who I love and my relationship with my family is odd, my mother kicked me out of home when I was 14, she is a drug addict but we talk and see each other now. I lived with my father until I was seventeen but my step mother is an alcoholic who would physically abuse me, I am close with my father and my grandparents, although now I am living out of home with a friend, and I have been since I was 17 because when my step mother threw me out my father decided to stay living with her, I don’t think I feel any anger towards him though. I don’t know my life just feels so boring and sometimes I feel like I am wasting it, my friend suggested I should travel but my father and grandparents would kill me if I took anymore time off from school (I have already taken six months off to try to figure out what I want to do) and plus travelling is just travelling like going to school is just going to school, and I feel that even if I was to travel I would still feel this way because I would have to go back to my life anyway it would just be wasting more time. Everything is just so boring and it feels like I am working so hard for no reason (I work 30 hours a week and go to school 35 hours a week to make rent and bills etc). I am turning 20 in a couple of months and it just feels like I am waiting for everything, like waiting to finish school to get a job, but then what? I will probably be just as bored as I am now. A lot of the time I want to lie in a grass feild with flowers and just sleep for a year, just in the hope that when I woke up everything would be different. I want something to happen to shake things up, I hate studying but I need to go to school to get the job I want. Also I take things to heart really easily, like if someone doesn’t invite me somewhere or calls my friend instead of me I feel really alone, I don’t say anything to anyone though because I know I am just being foolish, I used to have a few friends who treated me really poorly and even though they are no longer apart of my life they still haunt me. I also have not always been the nicest person or easiest to get along with even though I have let go of a lot of my anger people still view me as how I used to be because I have been friends with the same people for so long, well atleast I think they do and I think they judge me but that could all be in my head. I don’t know what is wrong with me? Is anything wrong with me? Am I just being angsty and spoilt? I just want to go to the moon or something. I want to move countrys kind of but I have to stay at school for atleast a year to apply for the exchange program. I don’t know it just feels like I am floating through life experiencing nothing. I also feel like it is only a matter of time until my boyfriend and my friends will leave me.

Everything you just said makes alot of sense, I went through similar feelings at your age, I recently turned 24 and trust me things get alot better! You sound like a wonderful person, you’ve had a fair amount to deal with and you’re going through a very transitional time. Give yourself a break. Being honest with your friends/one trusted friend about everything you just said, would make you feel ALOT better. If you were my friend and you told me that, I would totally understand and respect you, also I would feel really flattered that you were confiding in me! Friends LOVE that sort of stuff. Once you start being really honest about your feelings, you’ll find that alot of other people are going through the same stuff and you’ll start to feel better about things. The years between 19 and 24 are ALL about making mistakes,being really confused, confiding in your friends and having fun along the way. Trust me they are. Anyway, I hope that helps a little.

As a former disc jockey, I could relate to Play Misty for Me. That movie is truly scary in the fact that I lost a friend in a similar situation like that a while ago.
